NHS Band 8 Unsocial Hours Pay Rate
Band 8 staff who work qualifying evenings, nights, weekends or public holidays may receive an unsocial-hours enhancement on top of their basic hourly rate.
For Bands 4 to 9, Saturday hours and qualifying weekday hours worked after 8:00 pm and before 6:00 am are normally paid at time plus 30%. Sunday and public-holiday hours are normally paid at time plus 60%.

Personal Allowance Taper for Band 8
The Personal Allowance is reduced by £1 for every £2 of adjusted net income above £100,000. It is fully withdrawn when adjusted net income reaches £125,140. Band 8d employees may be affected, particularly where HCAS, overtime or other taxable income increases adjusted net income.
